During the month of May, Konza Rotary teamed up with the Salvation Army, Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Inc. (MESI), and The Flint Hills Volunteer Center for the Flint Hills Undies Project to collect much-needed underwear for the Manhattan community. Additionally, the club participated in two other service projects: the bi-annual Linear Trail clean-up on May 15; and helped with traffic control during the Bill Snyder half-marathon and 5K on May 22.

Members were also encouraged to participate in the club’s annual Paul Harris Fellowship game/fundraiser. Members purchased squares for $15 each; 100 squares were available. The $1,500 raised benefited the Club’s Annual Share Fund. Using Paul Harris points accumulated from previous years of fundraising, the club approved the game organizer to use 1,500 points to match the fundraiser’s monetary proceeds.

With the $1,500 in cash combined with 1,500 points, the club draws three winners of $500 plus 500 points each donated in their name to the Paul Harris Fellowship. This automatically qualifies them for their first Paul Harris Fellowship or in the case of already being a Paul Harris Fellow, this qualifies them for a level up.
